Suilven Mountain

Very cool places to visit in Scotland. Trip planned.
Here are some Scottish tips:
The hotel to stay in in Ullapool:

Trusted friends with good taste recently went here and loved it:

Details of Sandwood bay are here:

It is well worth the effort.

There is an easy, flat walk from Inverkirkaig Bookshop towards
Suilven. It is a beautiful walk with great views of the mountain. You can use your hipflask of scotch liberally on the way back to invent tales of having scaled the summit.

Day boat trips to the Summer Islands from Ullapool.

At the lighthouse at Stoer you can do a flat walk to the Old Man of
Stoer. The loop road, from which you access Stoer: A837/B869 is worth
driving and there are lots of places of interest and beaches to stop
off at. The road is very twisty, has single passing places and is
exceedingly steep. Lochinver is a great town.

Going south from Ullapool, the A832 has great views. A side road just
off it in Gruinard Bay leads to a lovely beach with the best name in
the world: Mellon Udrigle.

All this and more!

These comments were sent to us by Fiona McKenzie who has visited the region frequently. The only part added by Diorissi was the bit about the liberal use of the hip flask to embroider tales of having scaled the summit. In short - the truth is Fiona's, the lies are mine.
